Our facility has 12,000 square feet of office and lab space and has been rated a Top Secret facility by the U.S. Defense Security Services. COACT’s Facility Security Clearance (FCL) enables it to handle classified information according to the guidelines set forth in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
Formerly of the National Security Agency and Ford Aerospace, James O. McGehee founded COACT in March 1990. COACT acquired ACC Network Systems in April 1995, and completed the merger in January 1996. Mr. McGehee’s expertise in security communications has enabled COACT to grow into a world renowned Common Criteria and FIPS 140-2 testing facility.
COACT’s commitment to improving the security of U.S. Federal Agencies is evidenced by the launch of its new Certification and Accreditation service. As a trusted partner in security communications and practices, COACT helps vendors understand the security abilities of their own products, and helps Federal Agencies understand the implications of implementing these products.
Over the last decade, COACT has evolved into a leading testing facility for information security products. With unrivalled ethics, COACT remains free from real or perceived conflicts of interest and does not engineer, manufacture, or resell any type of products.
